I grew up being a Nashville Scrapper, but now my heart is with the Malvern Leopards. I have taught instructional resource classes for K-2 for several years. I love working with students. To see their eyes sparkle when they are able to learn something new, or finally understand something.
I first started working a month after I graduated from college. I taught in the alternative classroom in Gurdon, Arkansas. Two weeks before school started the next year, I was asked if I wanted a classroom. I started teaching in an instructional classroom for K-4 the next week. I worked there until I took a job with the Dawson Educational Co-op as an Early Childhood traveling teacher covering two counties. I worked there for eleven wonderful years, but knew it was time to find a place to stay all day. So the assistant superintendent encouraged me to apply for a job here at Malvern. This was the best decision for me. I love this school district and all the faculty and staff.
I am married to a wonderful man who works for Union Pacific Railroad. We have one child. He attends Malvern Public Schools. We do not have any pets at this time, but our son is begging for a cat.
