I have been with the Malvern School District since 2004. I will be the Gifted and Talented and EAST Facilitator this year at Malvern Elementary School.
I started my teaching career in August of 2002 at Glen Rose Middle School. I taught fifth grade math for two years. I began teaching at Malvern in August of 2004. I taught fourth grade for one year then transferred to the Gifted and Talented classroom. I spent 6 years in the GT classroom then left education for a year to pursue a job in the corporate world. I missed education terribly and returned to the classroom the following year. I taught seventh and eighth grade Alternative Learning for one year then transferred to the fifth and sixth grade ALE classroom. I spent two years there before returning to the GT/EAST classroom at MES.
I am married to Scott Jones. We have five boys who all attend Malvern Schools. They are in the third, fourth, sixth, seventh, and tenth grades. We have two dogs, Milee an Australian Shepard and Rocky a black lab.
I love watching my boys play sport! We spend lots of time at ballparks.
I enjoy traveling, especially to new places. Snow skiing in the winter and playing at the beach in the summer are two of my favorite things to do.
